• Nutrition is an important part of resident well-being
• Freshly prepared food using the best ingredients from local suppliers
• Food and drink intake is monitored
Food is most important to the elderly, not only for its nutritional value but as a social occasion. We therefore encourage all our residents to have their meals in the dining room together whenever possible.
Fresh meat, fish and vegetables are sourced from local suppliers and great care is taken with presentation. The menus are varied, taking into consideration the dietary requirements and individual likes and dislikes of our residents.
Residents’ weights are recorded on a regular basis and their food and drink intake is monitored. Every effort is made to encourage residents to eat where there are problems with loss of appetite.
